5TH ASEAN-ROK AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN STI 2023
Greetings from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) Malaysia.We are pleased to convey to our Malaysian team that the call for the 5th ASEAN-ROK Award for Excellence in STI 2023 is now OPEN.The Government of the Republic of Korea (ROK), in support of the Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), recognise the importance of science, technology and innovation in promoting the economic development of nations. To this effect, an annual award is established to encourage young scientists and engineers to take on research in science, technology and innovation. The ASEAN-ROK Award for Excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) recognises the academic and professional achievements of promising, early-career scientists and engineers of ASEAN nationality. The Award is open to professionals pursuing careers in any field of natural sciences or engineering.
Along with the e-mail of ASEC as below, you may find attached the documents for the 2023 award, which have been prepared based on the previous ones approved by COSTI and the Minister of Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of ROK (along with guidelines, application form, personal statement, and recommendation form).
Please bear in mind that applicants must submit the Application Form, Personal Statement, and Recommendation Letter, complete in every respect with the supporting documents, directly to STEPI (via e-mail) by the closing date of 14 August 2023.The Ministry takes pride in the pool of researchers and scientists the nation holds, who have contributed much to nation-building. Hence as in yesteryears, the Ministry seeks the kind assistance of all to circulate the call for the "5th ASEAN-ROK Award for Excellence in STI 2023".
