Uromastyx aegyptia (Dhabb) requires very high basking temperatures (50–55°C), which are difficult to maintain in Malaysia’s humid, cooler tropical climate. Conventional heating methods often fail to provide stable surface temperatures, leading to high mortality and poor juvenile growth. This study proposes the Dhabb Environment Heat Activation Base (DEHAB), a engineered system that delivers consistent, precise heating for Dhabb husbandry. The project covers system design, fabrication, and heat-transfer evaluation, alongside nine months of behavioural and health monitoring. Combining advanced materials, controlled heating, and smart sensing, DEHAB offers a scalable solution for conservation, breeding, and exotic pet care.
