The economic cost of corrosion increases rapidly and remains a global scientific problem affecting all industries. A wide range of corrosion rate prediction techniques have been recently studied to indicate the life span of metals in nature. The corrosion rate of coated metals can sometimes become tricky as the conventional techniques requires longer time of exposure at severe environment. In this project the manipulation of electrochemical corrosion data sets and modelling technique could provide a short observation period to predict the long-term performance of a coating system, hence providing a useful tool for coating industries regarding effectiveness of their products.
