eposter TAHNIAH PROF MADYA TS DR FATIMAH DENAN PENAJA ENV ENGINEERING ENTREPRISE SDN BHDThis research collaboration between ENV Engineering Enterprise Sdn Bhd and Universiti Sains Malaysia aims to develop a modular steel bridge system for spans ranging from 20 to 60 meters. The collaborative research project focuses on analyzing existing structural systems, proposing design improvements, and validating the enhanced designs. The modular approach is based on a fundamental unit concept, where basic truss units form the building blocks of the bridge structure. These units can be stacked or grouped to enhanced the bridge’s capacity for accommodating different span ranges. A key emphasis in this collaborative research project is on developing efficient connection mechanisms that ensure strength, stiffness, and ease of on-site assembly. Additionally, structural members supporting the bridge deck will be designed to meet strength and stiffness requirements while ensuring simple installation on the lower chords of the truss units. This innovative modular system is intended to provide a cost-effective, robust, and versatile solution for bridge construction, catering to diverse engineering and site-specific needs.
