NATIONAL SENSOR TECHNOLOGY FORUM INVITATION 18 JULAI 2023

The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) and the Malaysia Society for Sensor Technology Development (SENSOR Malaysia) will organise the National Sensor Technology Forum 2023. In line with the National Science, Technology and Innovation (NPSTI) Policy aspiration and the 10-10 MySTIE framework, which has identified sensor technology as one of the key drivers of STI, this forum serves as a platform for sensor researchers in Malaysia from academia and industry to discuss the sensor ecosystem in Malaysia. The forum is a collaboration between the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) at UPM, IEEE Malaysia Sensors and Nanotechnology Joint Council Chapter supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

The forum’s main objective is to share knowledge and enhance understanding of sensor technology, its applications in the socio-economic sectors of the country, and the sensor technology ecosystem in Malaysia. Sensor technology applications are crucial in critical sectors such as precision farming, smart cities, medicine and healthcare services, and manufacturing. The insights gained from the forum are expected to provide a deeper understanding of Malaysia's current state and the existence of the sensor technology ecosystem.
