L’Oréal-UNESCO FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE MALAYSIA 2026 - CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

As a recent Laureate of the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Malaysia program, you represent the excellence and resilience that define our scientific community. Your achievements continue to serve as a powerful inspiration for women researchers across the nation.

We are pleased to announce that the 20th edition of the For Women In Science Malaysia program is now officially open for applications. As an alumna of this program, we would be honored to have your support in disseminating this call with the eDM below to your colleagues, peers, and institution.

Call for Applications: 27th April – 30th June 2026

We are now inviting applications from inspiring women scientists looking to advance their careers and serve as role models for the next generation of girls in STEM. Three outstanding researchers will each be granted an endowment worth RM 30,000.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Open to Malaysia women citizen with NRIC number.
• Candidates pursuing their Doctoral studies or PhD holders.
• Candidates must be conducting their research in Malaysia.
• Candidates must be below 40 years of age. Applicants born before 1st January 1986 will not be considered under this program.
• Each application must be accompanied by a reference letter from the Dean/Head of unit in which the candidate will realize the research work.
• Disciplines: Life and Environmental Sciences, Material Sciences, Mathematics, Computer and Information Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences
• Applications must be submitted by 30th June 2026.
