EXTERNAL GRANT OPPORTUNITY (INTERNATIONAL): APPLICATION FOR NSG FOUNDATION JAPAN RESEARCH GRANT 2026 (SUBMISSION DEADLINE: HARD COPY MUST BE RECEIVED BY NSGF BEFORE/ON TUESDAY, 30 SEPTEMBER 2025)

We are pleased to announce that the Nippon Sheet Glass Foundation (NSGF) Materials Science and Engineering 2026 Overseas Research Grant is now open for applications.
This grant provides an excellent opportunity for researchers in the field of materials science and engineering to pursue innovative overseas research projects.
Key Details:
- Application Deadline: Hard copy must be received by NSGF before or on 30 September 2025.
- Submission Method:
Each applicant must:
- Complete the “Application for Research Grant” form in English, which is 4 pages long.
- Send a hardcopy of the completed application form to the NSG Foundation by September 30, 2025 (the date of receipt).
- Append a signed recommendation letter from the USM. Please liaise with RCMO, External Grant Unit (E-GU).
- Include a curriculum vitae (CV) not exceeding 5 pages.
- Attach up to five reprints of representative research papers:
- Full copies of up to two papers.
- Only the first page of the remaining three papers.
- Pages exceeding these limits will NOT be forwarded to the Evaluation Committee.
- Send the above hard copies to the Foundation.
- Additionally, email the file named "Applicant_Info.xlsx," which can be downloaded from our webpage, to the Foundation or refer to the attached file.
After receipt of all required documents—hard copies of the application form, recommendation letter, CV, paper reprints, and the emailed "Applicant_Info.xlsx"—the Foundation will issue an application number within three working days as confirmation of receipt.
